Introduction
This blog sets out to explore a creative, fictional world inspired by a unique undertaking: a worldwide search for women who resemble a woman we’ll call Abi C. Professional lookalikes from many different places and of all ages offered their services for this project, and the result was an exceptional gathering of talent.
All shortlisted lookalikes were invited to London, where several interview and selection sessions were held. From these, the strongest matches were chosen to appear as characters in a series of online fictional stories. The entire narrative world presented here is fictional, but it is built upon the real work and participation of these lookalakes, whose likenesses form the visual and thematic foundation of the project.
To keep the creative atmosphere fully within the realm of fiction, every image shown on this blog—including those that resemble photographs—is AI-generated from the likenesses of the lookalikes involved. Nothing presented here is a genuine photograph; rather, it is a fictional portrayal inspired by their appearance.
The project also sparked a further wave of creativity. Inspired by these AI-generated images, several talented fans produced their own AI-assisted artwork: sketches, illustrations, stylised portraits, digital paintings, and other imaginative pieces. With the permission of the artists, the finest of these works will be showcased here.
